The Shadow Hills football team rallied in the fourth quarter of Friday night’s match up against Serrano, winning the game, 19-16.
With less than 30 seconds left in the game, senior Zach Goebel sustained an injury. He left the field in good spirits, but the team had little time remaining to take the lead.
Cue Greg Hollis.
The senior scored a touchdown with less than eight seconds on the clock, clinching a win for the Knights.
Xavier Rodriguez, who plays both offense and defense positions, scored Shadow’s first touchdown of the game.
“It felt great,” he said about his contribution.
When asked about the team’s successful night, without hesitation he credited the players’ determination.
“We didn’t give up,” he said.
