Shadow Hills Fashion Club returned with their annual Fashion Show on April 19th. Club members showcased their own designs and interpretations on different genres of fashion. The show was completely student-produced and organizers arranged everything from the models to the clothes.
Some of the hit looks that wowed the audience were bass punk, vintage, and space punk-themed. The students’ creativity not only showed in their finished products, but in the process as well. Many of the pieces were sewn by Fashion Club members who also sketched the looks.
The models walked the runway, complete with choreography and poses.
“This is the first time I’m doing anything fashion related, said Valencia Rojas (‘24). “I was really hyped up and also very nervous,” Rojas added.
The crowd was very supportive and radiated positive energy, cheering for everyone when they walked.
Teamwork was also on display. Everyone helped and supported each other, whether they were preparing backstage or walking the runway.
“No one made a mistake, everything went smooth, we all looked good and looked like we knew what we were doing,” pointed out Sherlyn Vilasonar (‘25).
The audience also contributed to the success of the show, adding a lighthearted vibe to the experience. Fashion brings a lot of people together and starts new friendships, and those connections were clear in the way the audience came together to support the designers and models.
Fashion-inspired students are already looking forward to next year.
“I will definitely do it again, and bring a friend,” said Leslie Morales (‘25).
