Dr. Dunn and his twin brother, Dylan, on campus on March 31, 2025.
If you see Dr. Dunn around campus this week with another Dr. Dunn, you’re not seeing double, and you’re not imagining things.
Dr. Dunn welcomed his twin brother, Dylan Dunn, who traveled from East Africa, where the brothers were born, for a long-awaited visit.
Dylan, who has spent the past decade working in international development, arrived on Friday and toured the school, meeting staff and students throughout the day.
“It’s an honor to be here,” Dylan said. “I’ve heard so much about this school and the incredible students who make it special.”
Dr. Dunn, known for his Jordans and dedication to education, said the visit was a rare opportunity for the brothers to reconnect. “Dylan and I have lived on different continents for years, but family bonds are strong no matter the distance,” he said.
Throughout this week, Dylan will visit classrooms, share stories, and talk about life in rural villages, and the challenges of education in developing countries.
Senior Kayla Lopez said meeting Dylan was an eye-opening experience. “He really put things in perspective about how education isn’t always available to everyone,” she said. “Plus it’s crazy how much he looks like Dr. Dunn.”
Dr. Dunn hopes his brother’s visit will inspire students to think globally. “It’s important to see the world beyond our own experiences,” he said.
Dylan plans to stay in town for another week before returning to Africa, but his visit has already left a lasting impact.
